Truly love this spot! Whether I come with a group of friends or pick up dinner, their menu options are fantastic. Pasta dishes and burgers are my usual go-to. All staff members I've met have been friendly and go the extra mile to serve you. Love coming here on the weekends!

My adventure buddy and I ended up in Woodside for July 4th, and given that we aren't in the area often, thought it was the perfect opportunity to cross Donovan's Pub off the list! We opted to split a PB & WOW! burger, which seemed to be a new menu addition. It's a classic Donovan burger, topped with peanut butter, chipotle mayo, bacon, cheddar, and pickles... don't knock it till you try it, because it was delicious! The chipotle mayo paired with peanut butter was a deliciously savory top for the burger and paired well with the bacon. Not too many places have a PB burger, so I'm always excited to try it. Shoestring fries were cooked fresh and not overly salty.. we appreciated this because it allowed us to salt it to taste. Service was a little slow, it took about 20 minutes to get the beer we ordered.. but all in all, they were nice. We are likely to return next time we are in the area!

I have been coming here since the 1970's and the burgers never disappoint. Great atmosphere, service and beer! Still not a fan of the pseudo streak fries so I get the Onion Rings.

Hands down the best..my family has been coming here since the 70"s. Had many parties here service and food is always top notch. Potions are generous and you can't beat the prices. We come from Brooklyn to eat here at least once a month. Always get the baked clams, they are overstuffed and delicious. Fried shrimp and crab cake dinners are so good better than we've had at seafood restaurants. For an Irish pub they make an amazing chicken parm. And tonight I strayed from my usual and tried a special, a pork shank that was fall off the bone tender. Burgers and French onion soup are the known staples here and they perfected both. This is comfort food at its finest in a place that transports you to simpler times when NY wasn't so gentrified and expensive. Looking forward to many more great meals here

Great staff , great atmosphere and they have the best Garlic Parmesan wings I ever had . I travel all the way from Jersey just for their wings . Bartender named Christine is the sweetest . Definitely a must visit pub . You'll love the vibe there

Donovan's is a great place to go eat and have a drink. It really is Queens Comfort Food at its best. The fries are phenomenal. Homemade, huge and tasty. Fish and Chips are just called that so that you can understand what you are asking for. The fries are not merely chips, they are what the young folks are looking for when they go on swipe right apps. The burgers are where it is at at Donovan's. They are amazing and consistent and tasty. Here lies the problem. If you get the burger, you may miss the amazing wings that they made me just the other day as the Kitchen was closing and not only didn't complain, they made it a point to make sure I ate despite the hour. You will not encounter the Candied Bacon. That bacon is so good that if Ms. Piggy tasted like that, she would have never been forced to resort to chasing her beloved Kermie, nor would she have lost him. Whether you are sitting at a table or being entertained by the wit and wisdom of Chris at the bar, Donovan's is worth the trip.

Definitely lived up to the social media hype and no doubt best tavern burger in Queens. One can choose any burger on their extensive burger menu with a side of fries or onion rings for less than 20 bucks, it's a deal I'm willing to sign up for every day. We went on a Thursday late afternoon and place was energetic and lively, just what you expect from a well-known busy tavern. I can only imagine what it's like on weekends when they have live band. Donovan's is the real deal.

Coming here for-ev-er. One of a kind place. Go past the bar Charlie the restaurant is like an old stained-glass glove. I'll stop mixing my metaphors now. Yeah Beer 10 Food 8 Ambiance 10. Service is swell, tip your waitress regardless of your stingy mood. The IRS is a harsh mistress. Money well spent. Bring some friends and come here after you get off the 7 train or the Railroad. Kitchen stays open very late even on a Monday night.

Established in 1966, Donovan's Pub is a staple restaurant and bar in Woodside. I enjoyed one of their many burger options - the Bacon Cheeseburger. The bacon portion size was fantastic! Plenty of bacon for bacon lovers like myself. My burger cooked medium-well was still juicy and melted in my mouth with every bite. My aide of fries were delicious too - sort of like steak fries but better! I paired my burger with the Bells or Bella IPA beer, I forget the name of it, but it was delicious and not too bitter. Have to say the beer was also mouthwatering. Our server was from Ireland and her accent was on point. She was genuinely Irish and very sweet to us. Plenty of seating inside and the bar has lots of stools too! Have to say it was a lovely experience and will definitely be back again! Great work Donovan's team!
